FULL SERVICE METAL FABRICATION
ABOUT OUR FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS
Crescent Iron Works is a 4th generation family owned and operated full-service metals fabrication shop. They fabricate structural steel, miscellaneous and ornamental metals in their 52,000 square foot facility located five miles from the Philadelphia International Airport. With their size, vast experience, and talented pool of craftsmen, Crescent Iron Works is perfectly suited to handle the challenges associated with fabricating structural steel, monumental stairs and railings and miscellaneous custom fabrications.
Founded in 1931, Crescent Iron Works retains many of the values that were present 90 years ago while also incorporating fully automated design and modern shop technology and equipment, specifically a Lincoln Electric PythonX. This robotic fabrication machine has increased capacity, eliminated errors, decreased lead times, and made their pricing more competitive.
Throughout the United States, architects and builders who want to ensure the realization of their vision choose Crescent Iron Works for their fabrication needs.

HISTORY
Crescent Iron Works, founded in 1931, has been serving the construction market by fabricating a wide range of structural steel, miscellaneous and ornamental metalwork for new construction and renovations

A family owned business, Crescent Iron Works remains recognized as a leader in the industry by providing quality workmanship and combining that with a unique ability to fabricate structures, sculptures, monuments, monumental stairs and railings.

We retain many of the values that were present 85-plus years ago, illustrated by the fact that there is an operational blacksmith’s forge in our shop that is utilized for projects requiring hand-crafted iron work.
PROJECTS
Here is a view that will be admired by most visitors to Philadelphia. Crescent Iron Works fabricated the stanchions that support the bell as well as the steel plates within the curved walls that protect the bell.
Venturi, Scott Brown & Associates designed this three-sided structure with a granite base that transitions to stainless steel plates in the shape of sails from a ship, supported by a hidden structural pipe frame.
Designed by artist Walter Hood, the Double Consciousness Monument is located at Princeton University's plaza on Washtington Road. The 39 ft. tall monument is supported by galvanized steel framing fabricated by Crescent Iron Works.
Over 1,000 10" diameter pipe bollards were fabricated for installation at Citizens Bank Park. The caps were installed after the bollards were set in concrete and filled.
MONUMENTAL STAIRS
We pride ourselves as being one of the premier ornamental and decorative monumental stair fabricators in the Philadelphia area. Our expert staff of detailers, fabricators and project managers are able to give life to an Architect's or Owner's vision for the centerpiece of their project.
